Module 1.0: The Magick Mirror
How have you come to this particular place and time to take up the Great Work of the A∴A∴?
- Please write a 2–3-page essay beginning with your background and describe formative experiences which have shaped your current aspirations. Early ideological and artistic influences are particularly noteworthy.
- Also, please list any scientific, religious or philosophical figures which may have had a formative effect on you, including any magical or religious affiliations that you have had or still carry. At this point, please describe any magical & mystical practices which you may have experimented with or still continue.
- Perhaps most importantly, write a statement of intent on what you hope to accomplish by studying and practicing in the A∴A∴. It is expected that such intent will evolve with experience, but this initial formation will be of great assistance to us both as you begin.
- Mention any particular training, educational certifications, or degrees you have attained, and what languages that you read, write, and speak fluently.
- List social media accounts that may be reflective of your interests and activities if you wish.
- Please mention any medical or access-accommodation issues that may be relevant to studies which you are comfortable sharing.
This experience of writing the Magick Mirror is a foreshadowing of the magical memory as described in Liber Thisharb. However, for now its main aim is to assist us to know you so that we may be of better assistance to you.
